Villa Carolisol is on a gentle slope about fifty yards back from the little road that goes along the beach. We hear and see the sea between the palms and almond trees.
The pool has a large sitting area and attached to the lawn is a half basketball court. Villa grounds are walled in for privacy.
Our region offers good wind-surfing, white water rafting, whale-watching in season, hikes and bikes tours. You can even climb Pico Duarte with guides and mules.
When we built the house in 1988, we were surrounded by a horse pasture. There is still plenty of opportunity to enjoy tranquility at our villa, but now we enjoy the best of both worlds.
The bedrooms are large, airy and pleasant and have ceiling and floor fans. There are 4 ½ baths for guests and we have an extra refrigerator for snacks and drinks. The dining room has beautiful light during sunrise and early morning. We spend a lot of time there and on the porch in the hammock and rocking chairs before the days' activities.
The slight slope and our position on the cove catch the trade winds and make our house one of the most comfortable locations in Cofresi. The beach is crescent-shaped and is about three-quarters of a mile from point to point. The water is calm and gentle. No rough surf, undertows or rip tides.
